Frank Bungarten is Germany's premier classical guitarist. Since winning the Segovia International Guitar Competition in Grenada, judged by Andrés Segovia, early in his career, he has performed in forty countries around the world. Most famous for his Bach guitar transcriptions and performances, his meticulously executed and richly expressed recordings are considered references for the younger generation of guitarists. As such, he teaches students from all over the world as a professor, for a time at the Lucerne, Switzerland University of Music and Performing Arts and to this day at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany.
